The wrapper is delicate and the taste is mild. The flavor is wood and earth,
with a mild dry retrohale. The aroma is like an Amish tobacco barn in the Fall.
Our webmaster declares the Smithdale Shade to be "absolutely the cleanest finish
of any cigar I have ever smoked".
Shade wrappers are grown from Connecticut Broadleaf under controlled sunlight
to produce a more delicate leaf. It has a fine grain and a mottled latte color.
